All adult Sodalists and those interested in joing the Sodality of Our Lady are invited to a three day silent retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.

Format: Individually Directed, with some conferences

Cost: $280

Accommodation: Individual rooms, ensuite

Begins: 5pm, Friday, November 1st

Ends: 1pm, Sunday, November 3rd

SPIRITUAL EXERCISES OF ST. IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA

  • Silence

    Silence is the invitation to draw nearer to our Lord. In silence, we set aside our daily distractions to permit the Lord to make His presence known to us. In Silence, we discern our passions to determine whether they are ordered toward the greater glory of God. In Silence, we encounter our Lord calling us to a deeper relationship with him.

  • Contemplation

    St. Ignatius provides explicit instructions on engaging our imagination and our senses to experience the life of Christ with our whole being.

  • Examination

    The Ignatian practice of the Examen permits us to enter deeply into our daily thoughts, actions, and words to discern with precision how we can grow in virtue. Practiced as often as three times a day, but no less than once at night, the Examen is the exercise that reveals our erroneous perceptions, our transgressions, our vices, and our disordered passions.
